Monitoring and rapid response: Small populations can be hand pulled before flowering and seed-set. Aquatic herbicides can provide temporary control in small scales. Neochetina eichhorniae, N. bruchi (weevils), and Niphograpta albiguttalis (moth larvae) have been used in tropical and subtropical populations.
