Registered users understand that their name will be associated with contributed data and made available. If required, contact information will be shared with local Cooperative Invasive Species Management Areas (CISMAs) and/or state agencies so they can get in touch with the user.
The MISIN smartphone app requires the use of your device GPS – A window will appear requesting access to your device location. If a window does not appear, please turn on location services by going to your device Settings > Privacy > Location Services. Tap the MISIN app and select WHILE USING THE APP on your iOS device. On Android, go to Settings > Location > App Permissions > Find the MISIN app listed at tap on it > select Allow only while using the app.
The MISIN app requires access to your device camera. A window will appear during the first use of the app when you tap on the camera button within the observation reporting page. Please tap OK / Allow in order to submit photographs with your invasive species report.
